生活型

形態特徵

  • A glabrous shrub or evergreen small tree. Branchlets slender.
  • Leaves opposite, ovate to elliptical, 2.5–7.5 cm long, 1–3 cm broad, apex acute, base truncate, entire, more or less villose on new leaves then glabrous; petioles short. Inflorescence axillary, umbel or 3–5 cyme-umbel.
  • Flower red, showy, bisexual; calyx 5, with 2 larger glands connate; petals clawed, fimbriated or with crisped edge; stamen 10, with partly joined stalks; ovary 3-celled; styles 3, straight.
  • Fruit drupe, red or dark-red, compressed globose, 0.8 cm across.

  • 台灣 : Cultivated in Taiwan.
  • 世界 : South America origin.
